Office of Climate Resiliency

The Office of Climate Resiliency was formed in 2022 after the County of Lake received a grant from the California Office of Emergency Services to fund the staff position of Chief Climate Resiliency Officer. The Office of Climate Resiliency is part of the Administration Department for the County.

The intent of this office is to focus full-time on the development of a comprehensive local resilience strategy, interlinking ecology and resilience, work with a broad spectrum of collaborators to identify challenges and capabilities, while making plans to address the gaps between the two.

Additionally, the Chief Climate Resiliency Officer proudly serves as the Tribal Liaison for the County of Lake.

This page will go through updates in future, but we wanted to share this very important information about retrofits to your home to protect against wildfire: Wildfire Home Retrofit Guide (readyforwildfire.org)
